M.L. Dalmiya & Company Limited began its march as an off-spring of history. Those were the days of the Second World War when the Government needed runways and hardcrust for military purposes, M.L.D. took up the challenge. On a war footing, runways were constructed at Gaya, Kharagpur and Panagarh, along with hardcrust constructions at Bankura, Hishnupur, Baigachhi, Panchanpur and Nawadih. M.L.D.'s progress reflects India's rapid industrial growth for the last four decades. Over the years, it has established itself as one of the leading construction companies in India, executing several Civil and Structural Engineering jobs at home and abroad.
